Who'll Stop the Rain?

*** NB - this next post may have contributed to my long lapse in posting. Thankfully, we have gotten beyond it. But this was tough!!! **

Question:

What do you do when your house looks like this

and there is an unexpected three days of storms that drops between 6 - 8" of rain???

First you beg for your contractor to rush the window order and get them installed quickly.


But then you realize it is too late, and besides, it seems his crew may have bigger issues...

Then you plead with mother nature to rethink the weather patterns.

She proves to be stubborn...

Next you try to convince yourself that the house really isn't that pourous.

And then you laugh and realize that is ridiculous so you put out buckets in front of areas that have leaked before.



And that fails...




Luckily, your brand new tub is directly below one of the leaks...

Sadly, the leak in the other bathroom is nowhere near the new shower....

Some of the rain even fell outside.

But still, it's a lot. And maybe there is a little crying...

But finally you mop!!! What else are you going to do???
